My readers, hello and take it easy. i'v been very busy that cause i dident post a new post. excuse me. do'nt mention it please. now I have new twxt about one of sea creatures and absolltely it's one of the most important creatures that i'v read about it. the new text is about sea weed and sea weed harvesting. read it please and let me know what you are thinking about it!!

Sea Vegetables for
Food and Medicine

Harvesting seaweed must be handled carefully and transported with environmentally friendly non-motorized fishing boats.

The terms "seaweeds" and "sea vegetables" are used interchangeably herein and refer to the large, visible macroalgae growing attached to each other, rocks, and the seafloor in the intertidal zone and shallow seawater. Microalgae, phytoplankton, cyanobacteria (blue-green algae) and eel grasses are not included. The term "sea herbs" is not used and not recommended since it compromises the true cryptogamic identity and phylogenetic classification of the macroalgae, even though it is used affectionately by herbalists. The term "seaweed" is a bit misleading: with a few notable exceptions, seaweeds are actually saltwater-tolerant, land-dependent plants growing almost exclusively at the narrow interface where land and sea meet. Most must be firmly attached to something to stay in the "photic zone", where they can receive sufficient sunlight.

از بین موسسات و مراکز آموزش عالی کشور به جهت تخصصی بودن گرایشهای تحصیلی آن در کل منطقه از جایگاهی ویژه برخوردار است. این دانشگاه برای اولین بار در سال 1355 (ه .ش) در منطقه ای همجوار با بندر خرمشهر و بنام دانشکده علوم دریایی (تاسیس و مشغول فعالیتهای پژوهشی) گردید. این دانشکده پس از جنگ تحمیلی واز  سال 1370 با پذیرش بیش از 10 نفر دانشجو در مقطع کارشناسی ارشد در دو رشته فیزیک دریا و بیولوژی ماهیان دریا و بعنوان دانشکده ای از  دانشگاه شهید چمران اهواز رسما فعالیت آموزشی، علمی – پژوهشی خود را آغاز نمود.

  پس از فعالیتها وتلاشهای شبانه روزی و با خواست وزارت و هيأت دولت محترم دانشگاه در سال 1382 وزارت علوم، تحقیقات و فناوری از دانشگاه شهید چمران اهواز منفک و به عنوان دانشگاه علوم و فنون دريايي خرمشهر مستقل گردید.

این دانشگاه با داشتن موقعیت منحصر به فرد و امتیازاتی بی نظیر از قبیل دستیابی آسان به آبهای آزاد (خلیج فارس) و رودخانه هاي اروند , بهمنشیر و كارون ، مجاورت جغرافیایی با تالاب هاي بین المللی شادگان و هور هویزه، وجود راه آهن سراسري در خرمشهر و فرودگاه بین المللی آبادان، واقع شدن در منطقه آزاد تجاری صنعتی اروند خوزستان، همچنین با داشتن کادری مجرب و توانا زمینه را برای ایجاد رشته های وابسته به علوم و فنون دریائی فراهم می آورد.
